Resource Labour Hireis seeking aForklift (16T) Container / Warehouse Operator for a Transport Company in Altona.This position is casual with the potential of goingpermanent after 3 months (Full time hours) - Immediate Start
TFN / Casual - $40 - $45 per hour depending on REAL experience plus Superannuation and overtime rates.

We Want:
Experienced, Skilled, Reliable and Positive Attitude Warehouse Operator for a leading Transport and Logistics Company in Altona.

The Role Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe and productive receiving, storage and dispatch of cargo and goods within the warehouse.
Your duties will include:
Complying with all applicable legislation including the Heavy Vehicle National Law, Occupational Health and Safety, Dangerous Goods and Biosecurity requirements
Ensuring correct and safe operation of equipment, including adherence to equipment compliance plates
Ensuring correct manual handling techniques are used at all times
Immediately reporting all damages, faulty equipment or incidents using approved methods




Operating a two-way radio device and a mobile data terminal
Refuelling equipment following approved procedures
Completing all appropriate documentation for tasks assigned, including receival and despatch tasks
Receiving and storing cargo/goods into the appropriate areas of the warehouse or depot
Checking temperature-controlled containers and connecting to power
About You
Current High Risk Work Licence with class LF - 16T Forklift / Containers
Biosecurity training - Awareness & Approved Arrangement Accredited Person highly regarded
Experience operating a Forklift with various attachments
Experience operating a Pallet Wrapper and Pallet Scale
Experience operating various handheld powered tools
Experience operating a Container Straddle Carrier (desired)
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Computer skills to operate a mobile data terminal
Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure autonomously without direct supervision
Full Australian working rights
Common Sense & a sense of humour will be highly regarded
