You will manage sensitive cases and legal work for government clients.

full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As Senior Legal Adviser, Public Law and Litigation, you will provide legal advice on complex government matters.
You will manage sensitive legal work and support senior leaders across the department.
You will:
provideclear and practicallegal advice on public law and government matters
managecomplex and sensitivelegal cases and advice with limited supervision
research complex legal issues and applystrong statutory interpretationskills
drafthigh-qualitylegal documents, reports, briefs and ministerial correspondence
work closely with legal leaders and department teams to resolveimportantlegal matters.
About you
You must be admitted, or eligible for admission, to practise as a legal practitioner in Victoria.
You should have strong experience in public, administrative and human rights law.
You should also have:
solid legal skillsto analyse complex issues and develop accurate legal solutions
senior legal experienceproviding advice on public, administrative and human rights law
government knowledgeincluding Victorian Government and Cabinet processes




sound judgement and communication skillswhen managing sensitive matters and working with others.
