We're looking for a Collections Officer who knows how to keep accounts on track.
TVH is looking for an experiencedCollections Officerto join our Finance team in Melbourne.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts.
This is a hands‐on role where accuracy matters — from allocating payments and reconciling accounts to following up overdue debt and resolving invoice queries.
You'll be trusted to manage your workload independently, while working closely with the team to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Following up outstanding and overdue accounts byphone and email
Building skilled relationships with customer Accounts Payable teams
Allocating customer payments, receipts and credits accurately
Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies
Resolving invoice and payment queries
Preparing and issuing customer statements
Maintaining accurate and up‐to‐date customer records
Monitoring debtor balances and escalating risks when required
Working with internal teams to resolve issues and keep accounts moving
Using Excel to manage, analyse and reconcile financial information
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working




What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail and following things through.
3+ years' experiencein Accounts Receivable, Collections or Credit Control
Strong Excel Capability— you'll be comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data, not just basic data entry
Strong numerical capability andhigh attention to detail
Confidence topick up the phoneand have professional conversations about outstanding payments
Experience reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Clear, professional written and verbal communication
A proactive approach — you won't wait for an overdue account or discrepancy to resolve itself
A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute within asmall team environment
