Story Fresh is seeking a motivated, experienced Finance Manager to assist with the financial management of an expanding, innovative family business, based just outside Toowoomba at Cambooya.
This role has responsibility for the integrity of the financial reporting functions whilst overseeing day-to-day finance activities, requiring both strong technical accounting skills and sound commercial application.
It will require the ability to manage competing priorities and achieve effective work outcomes in a growing business.
The role involves:
managing the accounting and finance functions
preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
ensuring compliance with all Australian accounting standards and legal and statutory requirements
implement and maintain strong and effective internal controls
responsible for financial governance
financial forecasting, key business trends, cost analysis and KPI performance
input into continuous improvement strategies in efficiency, productivity and profit drivers with a practical, improvement-focused approach
monitor financial performance against budget, and
other administrative functions as required
The ideal candidate will have:
preferably a Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, and/or Commerce
CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification
strong technical accounting background ideally from a Senior Financial Accountant,



emerging Finance Manager or similar role but comfortable being hands-on
varied experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis in a commercial context
preferably familiar with Microsoft DynamicsNAV, Quickbooks, MYOB and XERO with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
capable of providing support in accounts payable, revenue and purchasing functions and payroll
excellent communication and mentoring skills
strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and not cutting corners
willingness to contribute as part of a team in a busy and dynamic family business
