Boiling Pot Brewing Co is looking for a passionate, energetic chef to take ownership of our kitchen and make the role their own.
Our European-inspired menu features house-made pizzas, plates and platters designed for sharing.
This is a hands-on, largely solo kitchen role, with assistance available when needed.
You'll be responsible for running the kitchen from preparation through to service and close, maintaining food quality and consistency, managing stock and ordering, and keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly.
We're looking for someone with professional kitchen experience who is ready to step up, take charge and bring their ideas to the table.
You'll be organised, reliable and confident working independently, with a genuine passion for food and pride in what you serve.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting the kitchen team during service
Preparing and executing the existing menu to a consistently high standard
Maintaining food quality, presentation, portion control and timing
Taking pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen
Ensuring our Roman-style pizzas are prepared and cooked consistently
Delivering European-inspired dishes that are enjoyable to share and complement our hand-made beers and selected wines
Identifying practical improvements to recipes, preparation methods and service where appropriate
Managing kitchen stock, ordering and inventory
Monitoring food costs and cost of goods sold
Controlling kitchen labour and operational costs
Preparing kitchen rosters in consultation with the Front of House Manager
Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and workplace safety standards
Training and developing kitchen team members
Ensuring the kitchen is organised, prepared and ready for service
Working calmly and effectively in a busy taproom environment

You will not be expected to completely redesign the menu.
We value a chef who can execute the existing offering exceptionally well, maintain high standards and make considered recommendations where improvements would benefit the customer, the team or the business.

Our food and beverage offering is designed to work together, with approachable, well-prepared dishes that suit the relaxed atmosphere of the venue and pair naturally with the beers and wines we serve.
We are looking for a Head Chef who can help us present this offering with consistency, confidence and pride.
Hours and lifestyle
Current trading hours are:
Thursday and Friday from 5:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm
Monday to Wednesday are generally free, with Thursday and Friday daytime also available outside preparation requirements.
This role may suit a chef looking for a strong work-life balance while still having the prospect to lead a kitchen, develop a team and make a meaningful contribution to a growing venue.
