About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Logistics Supervisor to support our Port Melbourne on-forwarding and transport logistics operations. This role plays a key part in overseeing daily logistics activities across road, rail, and shipping, while providing leadership and support to the scheduling team.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support scheduling staff in day-to-day operations
Assist with data entry across systems (CBS, Tollworks, Oracle)
Monitor driver timesheets in line with fatigue and mass management regulations
Debrief run sheets and ensure operational accuracy
Provide support across administration, operations, and container control teams when required
Ensure compliance with OHS, Chain of Responsibility, and transport regulations
Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and safe work practices
Deliver high-quality transport services that meet or exceed customer expectations
Tuesday to Saturday role, with flexibility required to meet operational needs
Skills & Experience
Experience in logistics, transport, or fleet operations
Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident using logistics and computer-based systems
Robust communication and team collaboration skills
Desirable
Experience supervising or leading a team
Knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance and Chain of Responsibility
Exposure to rail and shipping operations
Experience working in unionised environments
