What we are looking for:
n
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who is eager to start a career in warehousing, logistics and stores operations. This opportunity offers a structured two-year traineeship combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal study toward a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations. Working within our Procurement and Stores team, you will develop valuable skills in stock control, inventory management, administration and customer service while contributing to the delivery of essential services across Council.

What your day will look like:
n
n
Assist with stores and warehousing operations, including receipting and issuing stock
n
Support inventory control activities and maintain accurate records
n
Perform data entry and assist with purchase requisitions
n
Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders
n
Participate in formal training and workplace learning activities
n
Work safely and contribute to a positive team setting
n

What you'll need for success:
n
n
Current C Class or CA Driver Licence (provisional or open)
n
Willingness to successfully complete a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations
n
Interest in warehousing, stores operations, logistics or stock control
n
Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
n
Effective verbal and written communication skills
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
n
Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
n
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
n
n
What's nice to have:
n
n
Previous warehouse or stock control experience
n
Ability to undertake training to obtain a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL)
n
n
n
