Our client, a Federal Government Department focused on providing services to the community is seeking an experiencedProcurement and Contract Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Procurement and Contract Manager
Provide strategic advice & support to a range of stakeholders to inform efficient, effective, economical & ethical decision making for the procurement of goods & services;
Develop & implement processes to ensure the integrity & transparency of procurement & contract management reporting & verification data & activities;
Manage a high volume of procurement & contract management activities;
Monitor supplier performance throughout the contract term to ensure the agency receives the goods & services purchased; &
Effectively lead, coach & mentor a team while managing competing priorities & changes in strategic direction.
Skills and Experience Required
Ability to develop & maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes;
Ability to make decisions based on qualified judgement,



risk evaluation & in the context of the environment;
Experience planning, preparing & developing documentation consistent with commonwealth & agency writing & style guides;
Apply strategic thinking, critical analysis & make evidence-based decisions;
Demonstrated analytical, interpretive & problem-solving skills to form views, provide advice & make effective evidence-based decisions; &
Apply advanced management & leadership principles.
