Overview
Cleve Hospital and the surrounding Eyre Peninsula community rely on well‐maintained facilities to support the delivery of quality care.
This casual position has been established to provide backfill cover for the Maintenance Officer when on leave - making your availability and reliability just as important as your trade skills.

What You'll Be Taking Care Of
Stepping into the Maintenance Officer role during periods of planned and unplanned leave, ensuring continuity of facility operations at Cleve Multi-Purpose Service
Carrying out general interior and exterior maintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing and mechanical repairs
Performing regular grounds maintenance and rubbish collection to keep the facility safe and presentable
Using a wide range of hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard, working independently under limited direction
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in building and grounds maintenance across a range of trades or maintenance disciplines
Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools safely and competently
Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of staff and with people from diverse backgrounds
Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in day-to-day tasks without close supervision - essential when stepping in as the sole maintenance contact on site
Commitment to confidentiality and discretion, consistent with the standards expected within an SA Health facility
