Corporate Accounting Manager
to join our dynamic team shaping South Australia's future.
What You'll Drive
The
Manager Corporate Accounting
leads TAFE SA's financial accounting, financial control and compliance, external financial reporting and taxation activities, in partnership with Shared Services SA. The role ensures that systems, policies and processes for these activities are efficient and effective and ensures TAFE SA's compliance with legislative and other compliance requirements. The position provides specialist and expert advice on areas within its responsibility and leads TAFE SA's interactions with Shared Services SA (financial accounting and taxation services) and the Audit Office of SA.
The Skills You Bring
Degree qualification in accounting, economics, or a related financial/business management field, with CA or CPA designation.
Strong knowledge of State Government financial accounting policies, reporting requirements and financial compliance frameworks.
Demonstrated experience leading financial processes, including financial statement preparation and application of Australian Accounting Standards and Treasurer's Instructions.
High-level communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
Proven ability to work independently or collaboratively, lead and develop professional staff,
improve business systems and processes, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
