About the role
Founded in 2008 Prestige Harbour Cruises is a leading boat charter brokerage with partnerships with over 200 commercial boats in Australia.
The business has recently taken ownership of a Seawind 1000 XL catamaran. The vessel is a 2011 model (making it the newest on Sydney Harbour). It was previously privately operated, so it presents immaculately. Functionally it is top notch with new rigging in 2023 and 2 x brand new 15hp outboard engines (less than 100 hours each).
With the upcoming charter and tourism seasons approaching, we are looking for commercial skippers to join our team. We are offering casual as well as part time season contract positions for the right candidates.
The successful applicants will have sound boat-handling and navigational skills, a robust commitment to safety and a genuine passion for working with people.
In addition to skippering our vessels, skippers may be required to assist in basic operational maintenance to ensure the vessel presentation remains at a high standard and undertake other tasks to support our charter operations.
The role may sometimes involves providing fun, light-hearted commentary about Sydney Harbour, so excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality are important.
