Product Specialist
Work Location: Collingwood Melbourne
The Product Specialist defines and manages the Australia and New Zealand passenger and light trucktyreportfolio in line with APAC brand management,pricingand segmentation strategies. The role develops the long‐term product roadmap, manages product lifecyclesand supports business planning for future product needs.
Job Responsibilities
Product portfolio and strategy:Deliver the long‐term strategic product roadmap for Australia anddeterminelocal product article requirements in line with brand strategy and business needs.
Product life‐cycle management:Manage products through introduction, growth,maturityand decline, including next‐step recommendations for products approaching end of life.
Range reviews: Conduct range reviews tomaintainmarket coverage and relevance.
Market and competitor analysis:Monitor competitor product life cycles,analyseATIC and motor industry data, and track recent vehicle launches to support local stock planning.
Planning and forecasting:Develop a five‐year article plan, coordinate the product line‐up through the monthly forecast cycle,
and represent Australia in BU PPM meetings.
Product administration and communication:Manage the OOY/OOA process, act as the Australian key user for SAP product activations and run outs andissue the monthly Product Marketing Bulletin.
Tyretesting and product launches:Supporttyretesting activity and coordinate technical and product requirements for local and international product launches.
Product information:Maintainthe product master document, monitor external websites foraccurateproduct representation, and ensure training materialscontainthe correct product information.
Job Requirements
A university qualification in marketing, or professional certification in marketing or economic sciences.
At least three years of marketing and/or product experience, or equivalent experience.
Project management experience with strong planning,organisationaland administrative capability.
Advanced analytical capability and excellent written communication skills.
Expertproficiencyin Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
A strong understanding of product life cycles in automotive and related industries.
The ability to collaborate effectively across local,regionaland global teams.
