About The Role
This is a senior position responsible for efficient and effective delivery of client centred nursing and home care services to support people to stay well and at home. Our model of care focusses on client strengths, underpinned by re-enablement and restorative care. The Manager will model and lead best practice that is underpinned by the core values of EGHS.
Lead the coordination of care through staff rostering, recruitment and retention and overseeing operational workflows to ensure patient needs are met
Provide leadership for service development and quality improvement activities within your designated area
Maintaining a safe working environment ensuring efficient use of skills to meet patient needs and achieve activity targets set by the various funding agreements
Monitor the unit's financial performance including budget
Ensure systems are in place to deliver services within legislative and funding guidelines
Undertake responsibility for activities to support Community Nursing meeting the accreditation requirements
Provide expert guidance, mentoring and supervision to other practitioners and students ensuring ongoing professional development opportunities for all staff and best practice in patient care
About You
Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Extensive experience of accreditation within a health service
Demonstrated leadership capacity and management experience with a commitment to EGHS strategic and operational goals
A commitment to and evidence of flexibility and innovation in practice, including an evidence based approach to care
Demonstrated commitment to the provision of agreed care that is client centred, strengths based and underpinned by a re-enablement and restorative philosophy
Demonstrated ability to assess, plan and coordinate care for carers and clients with complex medical, psychological and chronic illness
An understanding of the systems and challenges associated with an integrated aged care service model inclusive of recommendations coming from the Royal Commission into Aged Care
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by examples of a positive and proactive approach to problem solving
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication, co-ordination and organisational skills
Demonstrated written and computer skills at the level required to fulfil this position
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks
(Police and Working With Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Check).
