The opportunity
Holimpact is seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Communications, Content & Executive Support Officer to support the Founder/Director and the team and strengthen Holimpact's public profile.
This varied part-time role combines professional communications and content development with executive, administrative and project support. The successful candidate will be a strong writer and capable organiser who can turn complex sustainability, responsible-sourcing and conservation topics into clear, credible content, while helping to keep a growing consultancy running smoothly.
The role can be Cairns-based, with possibilities for a remote or hybrid working arrangement, and will work closely with the Founder/Director and the team across communications, content, client and project coordination, presentations, business administration and selected financial administration.
Key responsibilities
Content Strategy, Development and Editorial Planning
Assist with planning, writing, editing and publishing of high-quality content for Holimpact's website, social media, newsletters, proposals and other client-facing materials.
Assist with translating complex sustainability, responsible-sourcing, fashion and conservation topics into accurate, engaging content for professional audiences.
Maintain a practical communications calendar and coordinate content inputs, images, quotes and project information from the Holimpact team and external partners.
Prepare,
review, adapt or translate communications and routine business correspondence in English and French.
Schedule approved content, assist with website updates and monitor basic engagement and content-performance metrics.
Provide light graphic-design and website-content support, maintaining consistent presentation and brand standards across Holimpact materials.
Administrative and Executive Support
Manage calendars, meetings, travel, agendas, minutes, action registers and follow-up tasks for the Founder/Director and the team.
Draft, format and proofread presentations, proposals, reports, correspondence and other professional documents.
Support client and project administration by tracking deadlines, deliverables, approvals, key communications and project information.
Maintain organised digital filing systems, contact databases, templates, contracts and business records.
Assist with invoicing, expense administration, financial record-keeping and the preparation of information for external accountants or bookkeepers.
Coordinate suppliers, consultants and other service providers, and identify practical opportunities to improve systems and workflows.
Language skills
Communicate professionally in English and French with relevant stakeholders.
Assist with drafting, reviewing or translating routine business correspondence and administrative materials between English and French.
About you
Essential skills (required)
Excellent written English and skilled French, including the ability to draft, edit and adapt communications in both languages.
Demonstrated experience in communications, content creation, copywriting, executive assistance, administration, project coordination or a related role.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading ability, with the confidence to communicate complex information clearly and accurately.
Highly organised, self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a small, fast-moving business.
Strong PowerPoint capability and proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Confidence using social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
and website content-management systems for professional communications.
High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage confidential client, financial and commercial information professionally.
Full working rights in Australia and ability to work from Cairns, including attending in-person meetings as required.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as communications, marketing, business administration, sustainability, international relations or fashion. A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification will be highly regarded.
Desirable skills (optional)
Knowledge of sustainability, responsible sourcing, biodiversity, conservation, ethical supply chains, fashion or luxury goods.
Experience supporting a founder-led consultancy, small business, not-for-profit, social enterprise or international project team
Experience with multi-currency transactions, international suppliers, project budgets, using Xero and/or TIIME, including invoicing, reconciliations, expense administration or routine financial reporting.
Experience with website content-management systems, such as GoDaddy, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar.
Graphic-design capability and confidence using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar platforms.
Experience with social-media scheduling, email marketing, analytics, CRM or project-management tools.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Role details
Location: ideally Cairns, Queensland; however, a hybrid working arrangement may be considered by agreement, depending on the successful candidate's experience, availability and operational needs.
Employment type: Part-time fixed-term contract for an initial period of six to twelve months; working hours and arrangement to be agreed. This role may also be suitable for a paid internship, subject to the candidate's course requirements, work-right eligibility and operational needs.
Reporting line: The role reports primarily to the Founder/Director and works closely with the wider Holimpact team, as applicable.
Eligibility: Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.
Commencement: November ****, by agreement.
Salary guide: $55,000-$65,000 AUD, depending on the successful candidate's expertise and experience, adjusted pro rata according to agreed part-time hours. The salary is exclusive of superannuation, which will be paid in accordance with Australian legislation. Salary payments will be subject to applicable tax withholdings.
