Delaware North Australia is hiring Kitchenhands to join our team at Melbourne Airport. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a quick-paced kitchen workplace and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

What you will do? n
n
n
n
n
Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
n
Conduct temperature and quality checks , effectively managing cross-contamination to e nsure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
n
Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
n
Take on hands-on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors,



washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals
n
Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills
n

More about you n

Previous experience in a sandwich hand or kitchenhand, preferred
n
Food Safety Certificate
n
Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
n
n
Must be available for early morning shifts, with production start times from 5:00am and kitchen shifts from 8:00am.
