The Opportunity
We are seeking a Graduate Planner Estimator to join our Operations team.
Reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and estimating jobs within our business unit, providing essential internal planning support to enhance our service to clients.

What you'll be responsible for
Ensuring the timely provision of quality, consistent and competitive estimates and pricing, comprising all key cost elements
Analysing specifications, plans and related technical data to determine time, cost and labour requirements for jobs estimates
Compile comprehensive strip and assessment findings from trade team to facilitate precise job estimates
Procure required materials according to technical specifications and coordinate external service providers for project delivery
Actively participating in the handover of work/projects with other Business Units,



ensuring all required information is clearly and completely received and relayed to operational teams
Liaising with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to gather necessary information
Ensuring effective and continuous management of costs and efficient utilisation of resources to attain expected profit margins
Providing requested reports and updates as required
Participating in the development and implementation of strategies to continuously improve efficiency, reduce wastage/costs, eliminate errors, and enhance productivity
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with the entire team, clients, suppliers and other departments
Pro-actively reporting any complex, concerning or risk-bearing safety, quality, contract, financial or industrial relations issues to the Operations Manager in a timely manner
Ensuring completion of all processes to the requirements of the Company's management systems covering Safety, Environmental, Quality and HR considerations
What you'll need to be successful
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Keen and enthusiastic approach to your work
Commitment to safety, environmental, and quality compliance
