The Wildlife and Threatened Species Operations (WTSO) Branch is seeking a conservation professional to join our Networks and Partnerships team.
In this role, you'll support the delivery of the Threatened Species On Country Program, partnering with Traditional Owners, Indigenous Land and Sea Ranger organisations, researchers, land managers, and government agencies to achieve lasting conservation outcomes for Queensland's threatened species.
What you'll do
Support First Nations-led threatened species recovery projects across Queensland.
Provide expert advice and practical project support that combines conservation science with Traditional Ecological Knowledge.
Help design and deliver innovative, landscape-scale conservation initiatives.
Communicate complex ecological concepts in ways that connect with diverse audiences.
Travel across Queensland, working in some of the state's most unique landscapes and communities.
What we're looking for
Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working collaboratively with First Nations peoples and diverse partners.
Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
A passion for threatened species conservation and delivering practical, on-ground outcomes.
