The Production Estimator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition from Sales to Construction through accurate cost validation, detailed technical documentation, and proactive procurement and maintenance planning.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Production Estimating & Procurement Support n
n
Take over won projects from Sales and convert approved quotes into detailed jobs in the system.
n
Complete full quantity take-offs and confirm scope against final contract documents.
n
Define material, labor, and subcontractor requirements so Project Managers can plan and execute profitably.
n
Complete handovers of finalized job set-ups to the system.
n
Capture construction feedback post-handover and use it to correct issues and improve future production estimating.
n
Review and validate Sales Estimates and Quotes for buildability, material selection,band cost accuracy.
n
Develop Scope of Works breakdowns, and Material Take-Offs aligned with Client's construction standards and approved designs.
n
Collaborate with Sales Estimators to refine pricing strategies for complex or high value projects.
n
Provide estimating assistance to Sales during peak demand or large tenders.
n
Continuously improve estimating accuracy, documentation standards, and alignment between Sales and Production.
n
Source best pricing for approved contract labor, equipment, and materials.
n
Liaise with suppliers to ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and delivery timelines.
n




Maintain and update the pricing library to reflect current market rates and approved supplier agreements.
n
ETS management & Plan, schedule, and document maintenance activities in compliance with client agreements, manufacturer requirements, and statutory obligations.

Systems, Compliance & Reporting n
n
Maintain accurate records and workflows in Nexvia, Hubspot and Bluebeam for estimating, procurement, and maintenance operations.
n
Ensure materials, plant, and equipment meet compliance and safety requirements.
n
Prepare reports on estimating performance, cost variance trends, and maintenance KPIs for leadership.
n
Collaborate across divisions to improve efficiency, reduce rework, and enhance communication.
n
Assist with sales estimating and technical pricing support as required.

Requirements n
n
Minimum 2 years of Australian construction experience and 5 years as a production estimator preferred.
n
Comprehensive understanding of construction standards.
n
Proficiency in Nexvia, Hubspot and Bluebeam.
n
Strong analytical and estimating capability across construction materials, methods, and sequencing.
n
Skilled in interpreting and producing shop drawings, take-offs, and scope documentation.
n
Highly organized, process-driven, capable of managing concurrent estimating, procurement, and maintenance workflows.
n
Effective communicator and problem-solver with strong supplier coordination and cost negotiation skills.
n
Resilient and qualified under pressure, particularly in client-facing or dispute resolution situations.
