The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria's largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
There is a growing burden of disease associated with Dementia in Australia. In **** it was estimated that there were 421,00 Australians living with dementia that was predicted to double by **** (AIHW Dementia in Australia, Summary - Australian Institute of Health and Welfare). As new treatments and technologies are developed, RMH has the opportunity to fully realise the potential of its clinical experts, researchers,



and the Parkville Biomedical Precinct to enhance cooperative partnerships and become a Centre of Excellence for the assessment and treatment of people with dementia.
About the role:
Attend weekly clinics
Assess inpatients with cognitive and behavioural changes
Participate in dementia research clinical trials
Attend Dementia Centre and departmental research meetings
About You:
Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Appropriate tertiary health qualifications – MBBS or equivalent
Ability to work in a team
Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
