Senior Experience Designer
About the role
The Senior Experience Designer contributes to the design and delivery of inclusive, and user-centred digital experiences across our digital services on our enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Delivery teams, Developers, Solution Architects, Functional Analysts and Policy Owners to translate user needs and business requirements into accessible, usable solutions.
The Senior Experience Designer is responsible for supporting the design and delivery activities to improve how users interact with products, services, and platforms.
You will apply established experience design methods, such as user research, journey mapping, interaction design, and usability testing, to inform design outcomes.
You will also contribute to shared enterprise design assets and standards, and demonstrate a solid commitment to public value, accessibility, and continuous improvement.
About you
Experience in development of digital systems end-to-end
Lead the application of best-practice design principles
Lead the direction of projects from a user-centric lens
Strong project management skills
Proficient in Figma or similar user experience applications
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Ability to gather requirements and map the complete user experience
Lead user research initiatives including interviews and usability testing to define product strategy
Experience within complex regulatory environments and government settings (desirable)
Experience working on enterprise platforms of Salesforce and ServiceNow (desirable)
Experienced in JIRA and Confluence (desirable)

The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
