Job Description
What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a hands‐on and visible role across the City, including:
Responding to community safety requests, enquiries and complaints
Enforcing local laws and relevant Acts (Dog, Cat, Bush Fires, Litter, Parking)
Conducting proactive patrols of council buildings, parks, reserves and public spaces
Managing and investigating animal‐related incidents
Issuing parking infringements and encouraging positive compliance
Delivering community education and awareness programs
Using mobile tech and GPS systems to support your field operations
Supporting the day‐to‐day functions of the Animal Care Facility
You're community‐minded, solutions‐focused and passionate about safety, service and teamwork.
You'll ideally have:
A Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement or relevant experience
Experience in local government law enforcement
Strong animal handling and management skills
Excellent communication and conflict‐resolution abilities
Confidence interpreting and applying local laws and policies
A current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
