Full Time | 9-day fortnight | 36 hours per week
Salary:
From $41/hour plus applicable allowances and Superannuation
Our Fleet Maintenance team are a dedicated group of trade-qualified technicians who take pride in keeping the City's fleet of vehicles and plants running smoothly.
With a strong focus on quality and efficiency, our team plays a vital role in ensuring our City's operations stay on track.
About the role
As a Mechanical Technician, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy vehicles, trucks, plant machinery, light vehicles and other essential equipment.
This is a hands-on role where your skills and knowledge gained through a Vehicle Mechanical Technology or related trade will be put to the test.
We're looking for people who have:
Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Automotive Technology or relevant qualification
Experience with a variety of heavy and light vehicles and plant machinery (highly advantageous)
Experience using Computerise Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP
A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A responsible attitude towards timekeeping, work organisation and quality control
