About The Role
You've helped people navigate some of life's biggest moments. Now you can use those experiences to prepare others to do the same.
As a teacher in our Celebrancy program, you'll bring your professional experience, stories and insight into the classroom, leading The Gordon's CHC***** Certificate IV in Celebrancy.
From weddings and funerals to family and community ceremonies, you'll help students develop their voice, professional judgement and confidence. Through practical workshops, discussion, role plays and ceremony simulations, you'll turn real-world experiences into meaningful learning.
With marriage celebrancy carrying important legislative and registration responsibilities, your expertise will also help students understand the professional standards behind the ceremony. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues and industry specialists who remain connected to the profession, helping keep learning relevant and grounded in contemporary practice.
Step into a well-established program with quality learning and assessment resources already in place. As part of a newly formed team, you will contribute your industry expertise and help create meaningful learning experiences for the next generation of celebrants.
Some Key Responsibilities For This Role Include
Deliver and assess the CHC***** Certificate IV in Celebrancy across key areas of celebrancy practice
Create engaging learning experiences through workshops, discussions, role plays and ceremony simulations
Bring real-world scenarios, professional insights and current industry practice into the classroom
Guide students in developing confidence, professional judgement and ethical celebrancy practice
Maintain compliance with VET requirements, relevant legislation and national celebrancy standards




Collaborate with colleagues and industry specialists to keep learning contemporary and connected to professional practice
Have availability to attend Friday & Saturday workshops (for dates, view attendance details via our website: CHC***** Certificate IV in Celebrancy)
About You
You bring warmth, professionalism and credibility to your work as a celebrant, along with a genuine desire to share what you've learned. You understand how much care goes into creating meaningful ceremonies and enjoy helping others build the skills and confidence to find their own professional voice.
You're comfortable working with adult learners and value inclusive practice, cultural safety and high skilled standards. Whether you already have substantial teaching experience or are ready to bring your industry expertise further into education, you'll be motivated by seeing others grow.
Additionally, You Will Have
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with the credentials required to deliver nationally recognised VET training
A degree, diploma or other approved tertiary qualification in a relevant vocational discipline, enabling delivery of CHC***** Certificate IV in Celebrancy
Demonstrated professional experience delivering ceremonies, including weddings, funerals and/or community ceremonies
Registration as a Commonwealth-registered Marriage Celebrant and a strong understanding of relevant legislative responsibilities
Experience in VET or adult education, with confidence facilitating interactive, discussion-led and practice-based learning
A commitment to inclusive practice, cultural safety and supporting learners from diverse backgrounds

Salary Range
Teacher L1.1 to L1.3 | $84,618 to $96,504 p.a. (pro rata) | AQF4 teaching qualification
Teacher L2.1 to L2.4 | $97,907 to $108,725 p.a. (pro rata) | AQF5 teaching qualification
Teacher L3.1 to L3.5 | $112,179 to $128,887 p.a. (pro rata) | AQF6+ teaching qualification
