About the position
Council's Operations Department are seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Golf Course Maintenance Officer. The position will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of turf at Centenary Park Golf Course.
The main responsibilities will include:
Supporting the maintenance of Centenary Park Golf Course through application of turf management, horticulture and renovation practices and the utilisation of turf specific plant and equipment; and
Assisting the Turf Management team to undertake turf maintenance tasks atCentenary Park Golf Course.
This is a full-time position and will include rostered weekend overtime work on a rotating basis.
About you
We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, but who can also take the initiative to work autonomously as needed from time to time. Additionally, you will bring to the role;
Certificate III or similar qualification in Turf Management related discipline
Experience maintaining turf in parks, sporting reserves, recreation areas or golf courses
Ability to use a variety of horticulture and turf management tools, plant and mechanical equipment
Strong secure work practices
A current Victorian Driver Licence
Medium Rigid Truck Licence (manual transmission) and Front-End Loader / Tractor will be well regarded.

This position is a Band 3A currently remunerated at $69,****** per annum, plus superannuation. Weekend overtime is required on a rostered basis, as well as intermittent weekday overtime around important events and course work.
