The Role
Land Command, Control, Communications & Computer Systems (LC4S) Branch is seeking dynamic leaders who demonstrate a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programs. Suitable applicants will exhibit exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, and will have a history of building, maintaining and growing effective and empowered teams.
As a Project Director in LC4S Branch you will lead the acquisition of complex projects to deliver critical C4 systems for the Australian Defence Forces (ADFs) Land Domain.
You will:
Lead a large, diverse and geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary team of project management, commercial and procurement, engineering and logistics resources to achieve capability outcomes for the ADF;
Be responsible for ensuring the development and maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with senior level Capability Manager Representatives and Industry Partners; and
Be required to have an in-depth knowledge of (and compliance with) project management methodologies, legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's broader mission and policy requirements.
$144,430 - $173,359 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation

LC4S Branch is seeking to fill a critical leadership position that directly influences and drives outcomes under the LAND **** program and the **** National Defence Strategy.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The successful candidate will also exhibit:
Extensive experience in all aspects of project management across the capability life cycle.
Extensive experience spanning commercial acumen, strategic planning, complex stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
The ability to develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders, including the Australian Army and international and industry partners.
Broad experience managing a budget and the multi-disciplinary workforce required to deliver prioritised outcomes.
A proven ability to effectively lead a geographically dispersed team to achieve quality outcomes.
Strategic thinking and an ability to grasp organisational strategies, long‐term plans and how these influence the acquisition, delivery and sustainment of capability.
Highly developed communication skills, initiative and drive with the ability to influence others both up and down the management chain to achieve tasks and business objectives.
