And now we're looking for an A-player Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Foreman who wants to help us build the next stage of Harlens.
Not someone who needs their hand held.
Not someone chasing a fancy title.
And definitely not someone looking for somewhere to hide.
We're looking for a qualified diesel mechanic who knows their sh#t, takes pride in their work and is ready to LEAD.
MAYBE YOU'RE JUST F#*KING OVER IT.
Being treated like a number despite being one of the people holding the place together.
Carrying B-players who don't give half as much of a sh#t as you do.
Watching lazy or average workers get away with poor standards while you're expected to pick up the pieces.
Being micromanaged despite proving yourself over and over again.
Being given all the responsibility but none of the authority to actually make decisions.
Being told there's career progression coming.
But somehow, five years later, you're still standing in the same workshop hearing the same promises.
"We'll review your pay."
"We'll get another mechanic."
"We'll sort the workshop."
"We'll give you more responsibility."
"We'll make some changes."
Maybe you're sick of constant chaos.
Jobs getting dumped on you.
And good ideas falling on deaf ears.
Maybe you're simply wondering:
"Is this really as far as I can go here?"

And becoming one of the key people responsible for where Harlens goes over the next 5-10 years.
There is no artificial ceiling here.
YOU'LL ACTUALLY HAVE A VOICE.
This bit matters.
We're not looking for a Foreman so we can give them responsibility and then second-guess every decision they make.
If we hire the right person...
We want your opinion.
If something in the workshop is sh#t, tell us.
If a process doesn't work, help us fix it.
If someone isn't performing, let's deal with it.
If you have an idea that could make Harlens better, we want to hear it.
You'll have responsibility.
But you'll also have the authority, trust and support required to actually lead.
There's nothing more frustrating than being told:
"You're responsible for this."
While simultaneously being told exactly how to do every f#*king thing.
SO, WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
First things first...
You need to be a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Technician.
You need to know your trade.
But being the best mechanic in Queensland doesn't automatically make you a great Foreman.
We're looking for someone who:
Takes enormous pride in producing bloody good work
Has strong heavy diesel diagnostic, service and repair experience
Naturally takes ownership when something needs to get done
Has high standards for themselves AND the people around them
Can lead mechanics and apprentices without being a d*ckhe@d
Communicates clearly and can have difficult conversations when required




Doesn't need Trent standing behind them every five minutes
Wants responsibility AND accountability
Looks for solutions instead of excuses
Wants to build better systems, processes and people
Gives a sh#t about the team winning, not just themselves
Wants their contribution to actually mean something
Is hungry to keep growing personally, professionally and financially
You don't need to know everything.
You don't need to walk in pretending you're Superman.
But you do need to give a sh#t.
WHY HARLENS?
We're still small enough that you can genuinely help shape what this company becomes.
You're not joining some massive corporate workshop where Head Office doesn't know your name.
You'll work directly alongside Trent and Teagan
Your ideas will actually be heard.
Your effort will actually be noticed.

Poor standards won't simply be ignored because confronting them is uncomfortable.
