About You
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who understands that effective Human Resources starts with understanding the people and the business.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible across the organisation, building genuine relationships and taking the time to understand how different departments operate, the pressures they face and what their people need to succeed.
Strong technical HR capability is important, but so is the ability to apply that knowledge in a practical, fair, and people‐focused way. The successful person will be approachable, credible, and confident, with the judgement to provide clear advice, challenge when necessary and manage difficult or sensitive matters professionally.
You will ideally bring:
Minimum five years' broad generalist HR experience, preferably within an operational, frontline, or similarly complex workforce environment
Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related discipline, or substantial equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated experience across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, learning and development, compliance and employee engagement
Strong practical knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, Enterprise Agreements, employment conditions, and contemporary HR practice
Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, including grievances, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and performance management, and coaching leaders through people and workforce matters
Experience in workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment strategy, and talent development, including apprenticeship pathways and working with TAFE, apprenticeship providers and operational leaders
Experience coordinating employer-sponsored visa processes, including Subclass 482 and 186 pathways, work‐rights requirements, and liaison with immigration advisers
Solid understanding of WHS, workers compensation, return to work and psychosocial risk management
Payroll capability, including ensuring the accurate application of Enterprise Agreements, employment conditions, allowances,

penalties, and entitlements
Experience with HR systems, digital processes, workforce reporting, and data analysis
Strong communication and influencing skills, with sound judgement, confidentiality, organisation, and the ability to build credibility at all levels
Ability to balance strategic priorities with practical, hands‐on HR delivery
A valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) competency, or willingness to obtain both
Experience with employer-sponsored visas, apprenticeships, payroll oversight and hospitality or similarly operational workforces would be highly regarded.
