TradeWise Renovations is looking for an experienced
Interior Designer & Business Development Coordinator
to join our Canberra team.
This is a varied role combining
kitchen and bathroom design, client consultation and business development
.
We are looking for someone who understands kitchens and bathrooms, is confident using SketchUp, enjoys dealing with clients and has the commercial awareness and personality to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
About the role
You will be involved in the front end of renovation projects, from the initial client enquiry through to design, documentation and handover to the project team. Working closely with the directors, you will meet with prospective clients, develop concepts and layouts, produce 3D designs, and build relationships with clients, businesses and industry professionals.
Key responsibilities
Meet with prospective clients and understand their renovation requirements
Discuss budgets, layouts, materials and practical considerations
Develop kitchen and bathroom concepts and layouts
Prepare drawings and documentation for quoting and construction
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers
Attend sites when required to confirm existing conditions and measurements
Work with the project management team to ensure designs are practical and buildable
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, businesses and industry professionals
Build referral relationships with suppliers and industry partners
Attend relevant industry events, meetings and networking opportunities
Represent TradeWise professionally within the Canberra building and property industry
Assist with initiatives that generate new enquiries and referral opportunities
About you
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in kitchen and bathroom design, renovation, cabinetry, building or a related industry.
You will have:




Strong kitchen and bathroom design and sales experience
Proficiency in SketchUp
The ability to produce accurate and practical design documentation
A good understanding of cabinetry and joinery
An understanding of how kitchens and bathrooms are constructed
Excellent communication and presentation skills
High moral and ethical standards
Confidence dealing directly with clients
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational and time management skills
Commercial awareness and an interest in business development
The ability to build genuine professional relationships
A practical approach to problem solving
Experience working with
existing homes and renovation projects
will be highly regarded.

TradeWise Renovations is a family owned Canberra renovation business established in ****. We specialise in kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations and complete internal renovations, with a particular focus on quality, service and transforming established Canberra homes. Our projects are delivered by an experienced team of trades, project managers and suppliers, with design and project management handled in house. TradeWise Renovations is part of TradeWise Services Group, which also includes TradeWise Plumbing.
A 12 month contract with the intention of transitioning to a full time permanent position for the right person
