We're seeking reliable and attentive
Exam Supervisors
to join the examinations team of a large, well-established tertiary education provider in Hawthorn.
Exams will run between the
4th – 13th of November
(weekdays only).
This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy structured work, take pride in accuracy and can bring a calm, respectful presence to a high-pressure environment for students.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a coordinated supervision team, you'll help ensure every exam session runs securely, fairly and smoothly. Opportunities are available across a range of roles, including Room Supervisor, Lead Room Supervisor and Student Information Staff, depending on your experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Setting up exam rooms
and keeping all exam materials secure throughout each session
Verifying student identities
, tracking attendance and accurately distributing and collecting papers
Monitoring exam rooms
and corridors to detect and deter academic misconduct
Delivering
outstanding customer service
, responding to student enquiries with patience and empathy
For Lead Room Supervisors: making scripted announcements
About you
You'll be calm under pressure,



detail-focused and confident following established procedures.
You'll have:
Strong communication skills
, with the ability to convey information clearly to students and staff and write clear, fact-based reports
Tech-savvy
, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
The ability to perform high-volume,
repetitive tasks
accurately and consistently
Experience handling difficult situations with respect and empathy
Experience invigilating exams in higher education, or working in an educational or corporate setting, is desirable
Previous experience leading supervisors is highly regarded for Lead Room Supervisor roles
A current Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one)
Please note
Sessions run on weekdays only, typically between 8am and 6pm, with up to three sessions per day across a two-week exam period.
The role involves lifting exam materials up to 10kg, standing for long periods and walking through narrow aisles
