The Opportunity:
This is a senior operational leadership opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join an established food manufacturer in Sydney. Leading approximately ***** employees across multiple shifts, you'll take responsibility for a complex warehouse environment incorporating multiple freezers and chillers. The business is looking for a strong leader who can bring greater structure, consistency and accountability to the operation while developing the systems and processes required to support future growth.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for the performance of the site warehouse operation and the leadership of its employees across multiple shifts. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, supporting and developing the warehouse team.
Creating and implementing SOPs.
Establishing clear KPIs and accountability measure
Improving warehouse systems, processes and workflows.
Managing chilled and frozen meat commodity inventory.
Overseeing stock control, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
Managing labour planning, productivity and operational performance.
Maintaining food safety,



quality and workplace safety standards.
Working closely with the broader management team.
Identifying operational risks and improvement opportunities.
Preparing the warehouse operation to support future business growth.
The Candidate:
Senior warehouse leadership experience within a large and structured environment.
Cold storage or perishable food commodity experience is essential.
Experience managing approximately ***** employees across multiple shifts.
A proven ability to lead operational teams and improve performance.
Experience creating and implementing SOPs.
Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory control and stock management.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems.
Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP.
Robust labour planning and performance management capability.
The confidence to introduce structure, processes and measurable KPIs.
A practical leadership style and the ability to earn the respect of an operational team
The Offer:
The salary will depend on the successful candidate's experience and current level. The business is open minded and prepared to consider candidates across a broad salary range to secure the right person. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an important operation within the meat industry and make a genuine impact on its systems, people and future performance. Ideally the base salary sits somewhere from $120,000-$140,000 plus superannuation.
