Hiker Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced cook ready to take the lead during service at our Salisbury brewery. If you're organised, hands‐on and enjoy working with a small team, we'd love to meet you.

Weekends are our busiest time, so you'll need to work most weekends. We're happy to discuss what works for you and the team, then agree on a roster and salary that reflects those hours, and you're experience.
The role
Reporting to the Venue (Kitchen) Manager, you'll help keep our Salisbury kitchen running smoothly—from prep and service through to stock control and closing.
This is a hands‐on role. You'll cook alongside the team, coordinate service when on shift and make sure our food is consistently well prepared and presented.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Preparing, cooking and presenting our brewery menu




Leading service and coordinating prep and kitchen tasks
Supporting and training cooks and junior team members
Monitoring stock, assisting with ordering and reducing waste
Maintaining food safety, cleaning and kitchen procedures
Completing opening and closing tasks
Working closely with the bar and front-of-house teams
You'll be based primarily at Salisbury, with occasional opportunities to assist at our East Brisbane venue.
About you
You might be a senior cook or kitchen supervisor already, or an experienced cook ready for your next step.
We're looking for someone who:
Has solid experience in a commercial kitchen or supervising a quick service restaurant (QSR) team in a quick-paced environment
Can confidently take the lead during a busy service
Is organised, reliable and supportive of teammates
Cares about food quality, consistency and kitchen cleanliness
Enjoys finding practical ways to improve how things run
Is available to work most weekends
A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate would be highly regarded.
