Head of Operational Risk, Retail Banking
The Company is seeking a Head of Operational Risk for Retail Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the second-line oversight of operational and non-financial risk within a designated portfolio. This role involves providing independent challenge on various risk-related aspects, identifying material risks and control weaknesses, and ensuring the effectiveness of risk frameworks. The Head of Operational Risk will also be tasked with challenging and monitoring remediation plans, as well as providing clear and commercially grounded risk advice to senior leaders and governance forums.To be considered for this position, applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in financial services, with a proven track record in operational and non-financial risk.



Solid expertise in operational and non-financial risk, particularly within the retail banking or financial services sector, is essential. The role requires the ability to constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders, as well as strong commercial judgment and executive-level communication skills. The Head of Operational Risk will also be expected to lead and develop risk capability, promoting a strong risk culture and sound judgment within the organization.
