About the role
Roadbend Motors a JLR Independent Specialist seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our dynamic team at our Welshpool location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of our service department. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of vehicle servicing, repairs, and customer satisfaction whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism. This role is essential to our business, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our operations run smoothly and profitably.
Key responsibilities
Manage and supervise the service department team, including scheduling, training and performance management of technicians and support staff
Oversee all vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance work to ensure quality standards are consistently met
Schedule vehicle service appointments and manage workflow to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction
Inspect completed work to verify quality and adherence to manufacturer specifications
Maintain accurate service records, work orders and customer documentation
Communicate with customers regarding service requirements, timelines and costs
Manage service department budgets, labour costs and inventory of parts and supplies
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the service department
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and positive reviews
Liaise with management to report on service department performance and key metrics
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar supervisory role within the automotive trades industry
Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing,



repairs and maintenance procedures
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Sound understanding of budgeting and cost control
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Proficiency with service management software and computer systems
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive service departments
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Australian Driver's Licence
