Executive Level 1 - Assistant Director - Procurement Business Partners Section
The Assistant Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of an advisory team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely and compliant procurement advice and support across the department.
The role requires building and maintaining robust stakeholder relationships, managing operational priorities, and guiding business areas through complex procurement activities.
The primary objective of this role is to lead a team within the Procurement Business Partners Section, delivering high-quality procurement advice and support to business areas across the department.
The role is responsible for ensuring procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with Commonwealth and departmental legislative, policy and governance requirements, while fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving the delivery of value-for-money outcomes.
The position also plays a key leadership role in building procurement capability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting best-practice procurement and contract management across the department.
