As Senior Event Manager, you'll oversee a diverse portfolio of industry-leading conferences, awards and bespoke events throughout the contract period. You'll work closely with editorial, commercial and marketing teams, manage budgets and suppliers, and play a key role in delivering and evolving Mumbrella's events program. This is an opportunity to step into a trusted senior role within a highly regarded media business, with genuine flexibility, autonomy and the prospect to work across some of Australia's most recognised media and marketing events.
Key responsibilities
Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of major conferences, awards and live events
Own event timelines, budgets and forecasting, ensuring commercial and operational success
Manage venue sourcing, supplier negotiations and contract management
Oversee on-site delivery, run-sheets and event operations
Collaborate closely with internal teams including editorial, sales, marketing and production
Manage speakers, partners, sponsors and senior industry stakeholders




Identify opportunities to improve processes, experiences and efficiencies
Mentor and support junior team members as required
About you
6+ years' experience delivering large-scale events, conferences or award ceremonies
Proven ability to manage complex events with multiple stakeholders
Strong budgeting, negotiation and supplier management skills
Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving abilities
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Confident communicator who builds strong relationships internally and externally
Proficient in using EventsAir and digital event tools such as Asana
Flexibility to work after-hours during events when required
Passionate about media, marketing, advertising or creative industries
