About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a dedicated, caring and highly motivated Associate Nurse unit Manager to join the Medical Surgical Unit Leadership Team at Bacchus Marsh Hospital.
The Medical Surgical Unit at Bacchus Marsh provides care to a variety of patients with General Medical Conditions, General elective surgical conditions, patients requiring Detoxification support and Palliative Care.
Key responsibilities:
Model positive and proactive attitudes and behaviours that support the Western Health Best Care Framework.
Collaborate on achieving the goals for Best Care with other employees and patients/consumers.
Be proactive about identifying and addressing issues that interfere with patients receiving Best Care.
Understand their broad responsibility for safety and quality in health care.
Clinical responsibilities:
Acts as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care.
Supervises, directs, and supports nursing staff in clinical practice.
Has experience and is able to take on a floor co-ordination role.
Aboutyou:
Demonstrated evidence of undertaking professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing expertise/management.
Can communicate effectively with all team members.
Relevant medical surgical and palliative care experience (desirable).
