Recruitment Links Australia As a Heat Treatment Technician at Value Heat Treatment, you will undertake testing of heat treated parts ensuring their quality and conformance. This full-time position is based in our Dandenong South, Victoria facility, where you'll be responsible for metallurgical testing of processed work and undertake quality assurance procedures for ISO**** conformance.

Task & responsibilities
What you'll be doing Undertake metallurgical testing of processed product to ensure it meets customer specifications. This includes
Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers Hardness testing.
Microhardness traverse testing.
Metallography & microstructure analysis.
Failure investigation, bar stock testing and evaluation.
Crack testing etc.
Provide support to production in the development of heat treat process. Assist to develop, implement and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures and systems to meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular Internal audits and inspections to identify and resolve quality issues.




Train and mentor production staff on quality best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Setting up, operating, maintaining lab resources and laboratory and other equipment in positive working condition.
Analyse, record and report results, train and supervise other team members as required.
Qualification & experience
Essential: Demonstrated experience and expertise in undertaking a) to e) activities as listed in tasks and responsibilities. Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar position. Strong understanding of metallurgical testing and metallography including microstructure analysis.
Applicants must have full Australian work rights. Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents are preferred. Desirable: Hard working with a keen eye for details and be able to work effectively individually or as part of a team.
Metallurgical /Materials or relevant qualifications.
