JOC Concreting Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Tipper Truck Driver / Earthmoving Equipment Operator to join our growing team.
We have a robust pipeline of concreting work throughout the Hervey Bay and Maryborough areas and need a capable, reliable operator who is equally confident driving a tipper truck and operating earthmoving machinery.
This is a hands‐on, varied position. You will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment between sites as well as carrying out excavation, site preparation and earthmoving works for our concreting projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Safely operating company tipper trucks
Transporting gravel, crusher dust, road base, sand, soil and other materials
Removing spoil and waste from job sites
Loading and tipping materials safely
Operating excavators, skid steers and other earthmoving equipment
Excavation and site preparation for concrete works
Cutting and preparing sites to required levels
Spreading and levelling road base and crusher dust
Backfilling and general earthworks
Loading trucks using earthmoving equipment
Working safely around concrete crews, machinery and other trades
Manoeuvring trucks and machinery in tight residential and construction sites
Completing daily pre-start inspections
Keeping trucks and machinery clean and well maintained
Identifying and reporting maintenance or mechanical issues
Following load restraint, Chain of Responsibility and WHS requirements
Assisting the concreting crew with general site duties when required
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
Current HR licence or higher
Previous tipper truck driving experience
Proven experience operating earthmoving equipment
Strong excavator operating skills
Strong skid steer operating skills
Experience completing excavation and site preparation works
Ability to work accurately to levels and falls
Construction White Card
Experience working on construction, civil or concreting sites
Confidence loading and unloading trucks
Ability to safely manoeuvre trucks and machinery in restricted areas
Good understanding of daily machinery and vehicle inspections
Strong safety awareness
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Willingness to assist the wider crew when required
This is not a position for someone looking to learn machinery operation from scratch. We require someone with genuine, practical earthmoving experience who can confidently operate equipment on site.

THE PERSON WE WANT
We need someone who can arrive on site, understand the job and confidently move between the truck and machinery as required.
You should be able to operate an excavator or skid steer efficiently, prepare sites accurately and understand how your work affects the concreting crew that follows.
We're looking for someone who takes initiative, respects the equipment, works safely and takes pride in doing the job properly.
