About The Opportunity
Programmed's Property Services department is seeking an experienced
Painter
to join our team based in Rockhampton.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a Painter who takes pride in their work and enjoys variety in their day-to-day role. You'll work across a range of customer sites, completing painting, surface preparation, maintenance and remedial works to ensure properties are presented to a high standard.
You'll have the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team while also taking ownership of your allocated jobs. The role will suit someone who is reliable, adaptable and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
You may be required to travel between customer sites throughout the Rockhampton region, working across a variety of environments and properties.
Key Responsibilities
Apply paints, sealers and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces including plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, filling, patching and removing old paint
Complete painting maintenance, repairs and remedial works to a high standard
Protect surrounding surfaces, fixtures and areas that are not being painted
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Complete jobs within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Follow established safety rules, site requirements and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced Painter who has previously worked in a domestic or commercial environment, with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others.
Additionally, you will have:
Trade qualifications in painting and decorating preferred but not essential
Demonstrated experience in domestic, commercial or maintenance painting
A professional approach and strong work ethic
Excellent customer service and communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A solid eye for detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
Current satisfactory national police check
