We are looking for a
Trades Assistant – Fabrication
to join our experienced workshop team. This is a hands‐on role supporting our boilermakers and fabricators, with the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing work.
About the role:
Working as part of our fabrication team, you will assist with:
Supporting boilermakers and fabricators with day-to-day workshop tasks
Cutting, preparing, fitting and assembling steel components
MIG welding and basic fabrication work
Assisting with the manufacture of heavy‐duty industrial and quarry equipment
Reading and working from workshop drawings
Operating workshop tools and equipment
Loading, unloading and moving materials as required
Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
Carrying out general workshop duties as required
About you:
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment
Has practical hands‐on skills and enjoys working with tools




Has some experience with MIG welding and basic fabrication
Can read and follow workshop drawings
Is reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
Works well as part of a team and is happy to support trade workers
Holds a current driver's licence & forklift (LF) licence
