A purpose-led national industry body is seeking a practical Document Control Project Officer to support a SharePoint tidy-up and information management uplift. This is a hands-on temp role suited to someone who enjoys bringing order to document libraries-cleaning up file storage, improving naming conventions, archiving outdated content, and helping staff use SharePoint consistently.
THE ROLE:
You'll take ownership of a structured SharePoint clean-up and document management uplift: auditing what exists, confirming what should be retained, improving how content is stored and named, and supporting a smooth transition to a clearer, more usable structure. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll implement practical improvements that make documents easier to find, use, and manage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a simple project plan with deliverables, timelines and check-ins
Audit the current SharePoint document libraries and file storage approach, identifying issues and quick wins
Provide recommendations for a clearer,



standardised storage structure (folders/libraries) and naming conventions
Implement the agreed approach, including:
setting up and refining document library / folder structures as required
auditing existing content and confirming correct location and naming conventions
determining correct document versions to retain (and removing duplicates where appropriate) _
