Service Technician - Appliance Repairs
to join our team in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services to our valued customers. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of household and commercial appliances. This role is integral to our commitment to providing reliable, professional service and ensuring customer satisfaction across the Ballarat region.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and repair domestic and commercial appliances including washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, and other major household appliances
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of appliances to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner
Identify faulty components and source appropriate replacement parts
Provide clear explanations to customers regarding repairs, maintenance requirements, and preventative measures
Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs completed, and parts used
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies whilst on customer premises
Maintain a well-organised service vehicle and ensure all tools and equipment are in working order
What we're looking for
Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in appliance repair, refrigeration, electrical work, or a related trade would be ideal
Proven experience working as a service technician or in appliance repair would be ideal




Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
Proficiency with hand tools and electrical testing equipment
Knowledge of various appliance brands, models, and repair techniques would be ideal
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer locations across the Ballarat region
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly
Physical capability to lift heavy appliances and work in varied environments
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Desirable: experience with commercial kitchen appliances or HVAC systems
