to take ownership of our day-to-day service quoting and internal sales pipeline.

turn our technicians' findings into accurate, skilled quotes quickly, get them in front of our customers, follow them up and convert opportunities into work.
About the role
Working closely with our Service Manager, technicians and scheduling team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of service and repair opportunities generated by our field technicians.
Your day will include:
Review technicians' service reports and recommendations daily.
Identify repair, replacement and improvement opportunities from technician reports.
Prepare accurate service and repair quotations promptly using labour requirements, supplier pricing and appropriate margins.
Ensure quotes are issued quickly rather than sitting in the sales pipeline.
Take ownership of the
sales inbox
and ensure enquiries and opportunities are actioned.
Follow up outstanding quotations consistently and professionally.




Speak directly with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates and progress quotations.
Drive quote conversion and work towards agreed
sales and conversion targets
.
Identify additional opportunities within existing customer accounts.
Review declined, outstanding and ageing quotes and determine the appropriate next action.
Work with technicians to obtain additional information where reports do not contain enough detail to quote.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information when required.
Maintain an accurate and current sales pipeline in
Simpro
.
Monitor quoting activity, follow-ups, conversion rates and outstanding opportunities.
Use
AI and modern technology
to improve quoting speed, communication, follow-up and everyday workflows.
Look for smarter ways to improve the estimating and sales process rather than simply following the way things have always been done.
What we're looking for
We want someone who is
commercially aware, organised, accountable and comfortable being measured on results
. You will ideally have:
Previous experience in
service estimating, HVAC estimating, internal sales or trade services quoting
.
Experience turning technician reports or scopes of work into customer quotations.
A good understanding of labour, materials, supplier pricing,



mark-ups and margins.
Strong follow-up skills and a genuine focus on converting quotes into work.
The ability to manage a busy volume of daily quotations without losing track of opportunities.
Confidence communicating with commercial customers, technicians and suppliers.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with urgency.
Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems.
Experience with
Simpro or similar job management/CRM software
would be highly regarded.
An interest in
AI and technology
, with the confidence to use these tools to work faster and more effectively.
HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical or another trade-services background would be highly regarded.
The person we're looking for
This role will suit someone who doesn't see quoting as simply preparing a price and emailing it to a customer. We want someone who asks:
Has the quote gone out? Has the customer received it? Have we followed it up? What is stopping it from being approved? Is there another opportunity here? What can we do to convert it?
You will be expected to take ownership of your pipeline, meet quoting and follow-up expectations, and actively contribute to the growth of our service department.
This is a
full time, office-based position at our Hallam office
with no requirement for customer site visits.
