The Role
Eaton CC is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator with the knowledge and practical skills to teach across a range of Design & Technology contexts particularly Food Specialisation, with experience in areas such as Materials Technology Specialisation - Textiles, Food & Fibre Production and Certificate II Hospitality will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will ideally be passionate about practical, hands‐on learning and able to provide engaging and purposeful learning experiences for students with a diverse range of abilities and interests.
You should have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Technologies Curriculum, with experience teaching across Years 7–12 being highly regarded. The College is keen to continue developing and expanding the range of Design & Technology opportunities available to students. A key opportunity within this position will be to contribute to the growth of Certificate courses, strengthening vocational pathways for our senior students.



A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded but is not essential, and applicants willing to undertake the required qualification are encouraged to apply. Applicants should display strong practical skills and the ability to establish safe, well‐organised and engaging learning environments. You should use effective classroom management, explicit teaching and differentiated instruction to support students to develop their skills, confidence and independence. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers




Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school. *Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial.
