My client is a well-established financial services firm with a 90-year history, strong reputation and loyal client base across regional VIC and Melbourne. Offering expertise across accounting, taxation, business advisory, wealth management, superannuation, risk insurance and audit, the firm takes a holistic approach to helping clients make better financial decisions and achieve long-term financial and business success.
The Melbourne office has grown significantly since its acquisition in ****, developing from a very small team into a growing practice with a $1.7m fee base and a team of 8 professionals. This is a key appointment for the Melbourne office, with the successful candidate playing an important role in the continued growth and development of the practice. For the right person, there is also a genuine pathway towards equity.
The client base is diverse and high quality, including high-net-worth individuals and families, medical professionals, manufacturing businesses and SMEs, with a strong focus on complex structures and taxation. The practice has an established fee base across Business Services and SMSF,



providing a strong platform for further growth.

The role provides strong flexibility, with hybrid working typically structured around 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH, adaptable start and finish times, RDOs and health and wellbeing days.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of high-quality Business Services clients
Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and management accounts
Advising clients on business structures, tax planning and broader commercial matters
Managing and developing a team of accountants
Working closely with the Partner on client relationships and business development
Supporting the continued growth and development of the Melbourne practice
Contributing to the strategic direction of the practice
Genuine 2IC opportunity with a clear pathway for internal progression
3 days in office / 2 days WFH
Flexible start and finish times, with core hours of 10am–3pm
RDOs and health and wellbeing days & regular social and strategy events
Cloud-based practice with modern systems including FYI, Xero, Xero Tax and Active Workpapers
