Queensland's hospital system is facing greater demand and pressure than ever before. This is driven by our growing and ageing population, and compounded by pressures on primary, aged and disability care. To help address this, Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ), in partnership with Hospital and Health Services (HHS), is leading the biggest hospital expansion program Queensland has ever seen.Over the next five years, HIQ will support the delivery of three new hospitals, 11 hospital expansions, and upgrades to rural and regional health facilities, adding thousands of hospital beds throughout the State. Working in HIQ, you will forge a new sustainable delivery model and contribute to the delivery of projects that ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders - what could be more rewarding than that?About the roleThe Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General is a key role and will provide critical advice and support to the Deputy Director-General, and HIQ in process improvement and operational initiative implementation. Stakeholder engagement is key, with the Director being a contact point with the Office of the Deputy Director-General and the Offices of the Director-General, Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, Health Service Chief Executives, other Deputy Directors-General and the Divisional leadership team. The owner of the role must enjoy engaging with people on all levels and providing strategic advice and support as well as leadership and oversight of key operational functions, including Divisional Engagement, Correspondence and Governance.The successful personTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in providing support and timely advice via sensitive, confidential, and complex work to Executive Management.Experience resolving complex issues in strategic, timely manner as required by the Deputy Director-GeneralStrong analytical, communication,
