About the Role
Join our Social & Digital team to grow the reach of ABC Indigenous content while prioritising younger and lighter audiences and emerging platforms.
Shape and deliver social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
Run sessions with the ABC Indigenous social team to uncover content ideas, identify trends and recognise training needs
Develop fresh video formats and simple guides to help the team continue making high-quality content
Mentor and provide feedback to ABC Indigenous social producers and creators to build their social skills and confidence
Use analytics and audience insights to identify what's working and inform future content and strategy decisions
About You
You're a skilled social media producer who knows how to stop the scroll. With a track record of delivering high-quality social video, you bring fresh ideas and a flair for creating content that gets people watching, sharing and talking.
You'll also have:
Proven experience creating high-quality social video, ideally on YouTube, TikTok and Reels
A sharp eye for vertical video trends and new audience opportunities
Established ability to build and manage relationships with cross-organisational stakeholders, as well as external partners
Familiarity mentoring colleagues and providing feedback to others
Strong analytics skills and awareness of platform risks like rights, copyright, moderation and child safety
Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively
