TLC Early Learning Mordialloc is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic
Kitchen Assistant
to support our Cook in preparing nutritious meals and maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised kitchen environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of children each day.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our early learning kitchen. Working closely with the Cook, you'll assist with food preparation, kitchen organisation, stock management and food safety compliance to ensure nutritious meals are delivered to children in a safe and efficient manner.
This is a
part-time opportunity
based at our beautiful Early Learning Centre in Mordialloc.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with meal and ingredient preparation, including washing, chopping and measuring ingredients
Support the Cook with meal preparation and food service
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
Clean and store kitchen equipment, utensils and workstations
Assist with stock control and receiving deliveries
Follow food safety regulations and allergy management requirements
Maintain a safe and compliant workplace
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience working in a kitchen, café, childcare or food preparation workplace
A genuine interest in supporting children's health and wellbeing




Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Basic cooking and food preparation skills
Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices
An understanding of dietary requirements and allergies
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive, team-focused attitude
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently and follow instructions
Working with Children Check
Police Check
Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Food Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Full working rights in Australia
