ASR Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Newcastle organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a broad, hands-on finance position with plenty of variety across the day-to-day accounts function. You'll work closely with the wider business, take ownership of your responsibilities and support a range of finance activities rather than sitting solely within one area.
Your Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Bank and account reconciliations
Processing invoices, payments and receipts
Managing supplier and customer queries
Assisting with month-end processes
Maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting payroll and general finance administration where required
Assisting with reporting and financial data
Liaising with internal stakeholders across the business
Working with Excel and internal finance systems
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc requirements
About You:
Solid experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliations
Confidence working with large volumes of financial data




Strong Excel and finance systems capability
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
Good time management and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider finance team
Experience assisting with month-end, reporting or payroll would be advantageous
