Sales Representative / Account Manager

With a strong national presence and an exceptional reputation for quality, service and long-standing customer relationships, my client is looking to appoint experienced
Sales Representatives / Account Managers
to join their national sales team and manage established territories across Queensland and Northern NSW.
We are ideally looking to appoint across two territories:
Brisbane & Northern Queensland
Brisbane South, Gold Coast & Northern NSW
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who genuinely loves
being on the road, meeting customers, building relationships and taking ownership of their own territory
The Chance You will step into an established and well-maintained territory of approximately
****** active customers
, primarily school uniform shops, while also developing relationships with Business Managers and School Principals.

My client has built its business on exceptional service, quality product and strong, long-term customer partnerships. We are therefore looking for someone who is warm, personable and engaging, but who also has the commercial drive to identify opportunities and grow the business.
You will spend the majority of your time out in the market, visiting customers face-to-face and managing a structured and well-planned call cycle.
Once established within the territory,




new business development will form approximately 50% of the role
, so you need to be someone who enjoys opening doors as much as nurturing existing relationships.
There is also an interesting
product development element
to the position. You will work with customers on new uniform requirements and product ideas, so an understanding of clothing, fabrics, uniforms or apparel would certainly be advantageous.
Who I'm Looking For I would love to speak with candidates who have a successful background in
field sales, territory management or account management
and are accustomed to managing a sizeable customer base.
Experience within schoolwear, uniforms, apparel, clothing or a related industry would be highly regarded, however, I am equally interested in speaking with strong field sales professionals from other industries who have the right relationship-building skills and commercial approach.
You will need to be:
An experienced and successful field sales professional
A natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys working with customers
Highly organised and disciplined in managing a territory and call cycle
Comfortable managing a high level of face-to-face customer appointments
Proactive and confident when it comes to new business development




Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
Professional, confident and well presented
Detail focused, particularly when working with product development and customer requirements
Comfortable working with customer databases and sales information
Proficient in
Excel and Microsoft Word
The Package
The role offers a
$90,000 annual retainer plus commission
, including
5% commission on increases in annual sales
.
The successful candidate will operate under their own
ABN
, work from a home-based office and provide their own vehicle, laptop and mobile phone.
My client will provide all garment samples and marketing materials, together with support for exhibitions, marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
